The authentic document of the 18th century from the funds of the Institute of Manuscript of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine – “Register of Holy Resurrection Church of Ostroh city of 1735–1759”, which is a comprehensive genealogical source, is published in full for the first time. Thus, in the Introduction a modern representative of the Kononskyi family represents data on his ancestors, discovered in the “Register”, and announces the meaning of the manuscript for the replenishment of knowledge about other Ukrainian families.

The editions targets a wide range of scientists, local history experts, and everyone interested in the history of Ukraine, in particular genealogical research.
