English for Dentists meets the requirements of the current syllabi in the subject “English Language”, specialty “Dentistry”. The format used in the textbook is meant to develop the skills of reading and translating original scientific medical literature in dentistry, to improve the knowledge and understanding of core dental terminology as well as to master the spoken skills for professional communication. Each of the 20 units focuses on developing students’ critical-thinking, problem¬solving, and analytical skills through a wide variety of activities and renders essential assistance in studying English. The units are provided with English-Ukrainian dictionary, short grammar guidance, tables with the main term elements and their meanings, etc. Authentic language teaching materials are used in the textbook.
