Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, E. coli, Enterococccus and Candida albicans clinical isolates were were obtained from local dental clinics and from diagnostic center at Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology (EIBMV). Bacreriophages against these strains were isolated and their morphological and biological properties were studied. The antifungal activity of the plant extract of Populus nigra and its interaction with bacteriophage was also studied. An optimal therapeutic composition was established and a new natural bioactive composite against mixed bacterial and fungal oral infections was constructed.
