Sagaradze V. V. The use of the <$E bold {alpha~symbol О~gamma}> transformation for production of pseudo-bimetallic sensors / V. V. Sagaradze, I. I. Kositsyna, V. Е. When these alloys, which were quenched to <$E alpha >-martensite beforehand, are heated slowly, the redistribution of nickel during the <$E alpha~symbol О~gamma > transformation causes the concentration microseparation of the alloy to non-invar components: nickel-enriched ultrafine <$E gamma >-plates and nickel-depleted regions of the <$E alpha >-matrix. The retained martensite transforms by shear transformation during fast heating to <$E 873~roman E Hat >, the obtained microseparation is preserved in the <$E gamma >-state. Consequently, the invar alloy can be fixed in the non-invar condition. This effect was used to produce massive samples possessing properties of thermal bimetals, namely, double-layer composites the layers of which have similar chemical and phase compositions, but differ by the linear thermal expansion coefficient.
