Grishin S. N. Role of adenosine receptors in modulation of synaptic transmission / S. N. Grishin, A. V. Galkin, E. G. Priazhnikov, E. M. Sokolova, R. A. Giniatullin // Нейрофизиология. - 2002. - 34, № 2-3. - С. 155-157. - Библиогр.: 3 назв. - англ.Mechanisms of the effect of adenosine on transmitter release were investigated. Exogenous adenosine reduced transmitter release via P1 receptors. This reduction was not affected by changes in the <$E [ roman Ca sup 2+ ]>, but was abolished by a P1 blocker, teophylline, and <$E roman Ba sup 2+>. The effects of <$E roman Ba sup 2+> ions were suggested to be due to the involvement of <$E roman A sub 2a> receptors. Blockers of the A-type (catechol and 4-aminopyridine) and BK-type (iberiotoxin) potassium channels enhanced transmitter release and abolished the effect of adenosine. The findings suggest a possibility of <$E roman A sub 2a> channels to be coupled to BK and A potassium channels.
