However, despite of strong time-dependent behaviour of polymers, the visco-elasticity models are rarely used by engineers in everyday practice. Instead, the elasticity or elastic-plastic material models are used. It is due to lack of well-established visco-elasticity models in the commercial FEA packages, but also due to the traditional (among the engineers) point of view, when plastic is considered to the "metal alike".
