Modern vulnerability resources are considered, their content, security and recovery time of different software products are analyzed. To make the process smoother and more efficient three main stages are distinguished: source overview, general security and severity analysis, and more detailed vulnerability consideration including recovery time. The proposed approach is universal and can be used for almost any software projects and systems.

The new software dependability assessment and bug tracking system is presented. The key features like visual reporting, charting and dependability comparison, vulnerabilities and update notifications, task management, NVD data import, etc. as well as the main purpose and functionality of the system are described. The system is universal and can work with wide range of custom, OTS and combined software products.

The safety case and trust case concepts are presented, several development methodologies are discussed. The structures of the three most common notations for representing safety cases are reviewed, with their main elements being thoroughly described and the notation argument models schematically illustrated and analyzed. Different safety systems are compared in terms of the development approaches, presentation techniques and information sources used for safety cases implementation. The general scope, goals and main principles of ForSyDE Modelling Framework are introduced.
