У дисертації представлені результати вивчення історико-педагогічного досвіду із вивчення іноземних мов у вищих навчальних закладах морського профілю 70-х роках XX – початку XXI століття.Об'єкт дослідження – ґенеза вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю. Предмет дослідження – тенденції вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю у 70-х роках XX – на початку XXІ століття. Мета дослідження – на основі цілісного ретроспективного аналізу педагогічної теорії і практики виявити основні тенденції вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю у 70-х роках XX − початку XXІ століття та визначити основні напрями екстраполяції історико-педагогічного досвіду в практику сьогодення. Наукова новизна одержаних результатів дисертаційного дослідження полягає в тому, що вперше: розкрито тенденції вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю у 70-х роках ХХ – на початку ХХІ століття: парадигмальні; структурно-навчальні, змістові, інструментально-методичні; визначено й обґрунтовано періодизацію вивчення іноземної мови у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю у 1970-ті роки ХХ – на початку ХХІ століття: І період (1978 – 1990 рр.) – уніфікаційний; ІІ період (1991 –2002 рр.) – трансформаційний; ІІІ період (2003 – 2017 рр.) – інтеграційний;виявлено чинники, що впливали на розвиток іншомовної професійної підготовки майбутніх фахівців морської галузі: соціально-економічні, освітні, галузеві; окреслено можливості актуалізації продуктивних ідей та історико-педагогічного досвіду вивчення іноземних мов як обов'язкового компонента професійної підготовки майбутніх фахівців морського профілю в умовах сьогодення (проблемно-орієнтоване вивчення іноземної мови з професійним зануренням; залучення до викладання фахівців– носіїв мови; диференціація підготовки здобувачів освіти з урахуванням базового рівня знань; діджиталізація вивчення іноземної мови; забезпечення наскрізного і міжпредметного підходу у викладанні іноземних мов; запровадження дуальної форми навчання іноземної мови за професійним спрямуванням; створення репозитарію фахової літератури морської галузі іноземною мовою; підготовка викладачів закладі вищої освіти до підручникотворення; викладання спеціальних дисциплін іноземною мовою).Уточнено сутність понять «підготовка майбутніх фахівців морської галузі», «іншомовне професійне мовлення», «вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти морського профілю».Практичне значення дослідження полягає у розробці методичних рекомендацій «Вивчення іноземних мов у вищих навчальних закладах морського профілю (1978 - 2017)».^UThe thesis presents the results of historical and pedagogical foreign languages studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile in the 70s of 20th – the beginning of the 21st century.The object of research is the genesis of foreign language studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile. The subject of research – tendencies of foreign language studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile in the 70s of 20th – the beginning of the 21st century. The aim of research is to identify, on the basis of a comprehensive retrospective analysis of pedagogical theory and practice, the main tendencies of foreign languages studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile in the 70s of 20th – the beginning of the 21st centuries and to determine the main directions of extrapolation of historical and pedagogical experience into practice today.The scientific novelty of the dissertation research is that for the first time: the tendencies of foreign languages studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile in the 70s of the 20th – the beginning of the 21st century are revealed: paradigmatic; structural and educational, content, instrumental and methodological; the periodization of foreign language studying in higher education institutions of marine profile in the 1970s – the beginning of the 21st century has been defined and substantiated: I period (1978 – 1990) – unified; II period (1991 – 2002) – transformational; III period (2003 – 2017) – integration; the factors that influenced the development of foreign language studying of future specialists in maritime industry were identified: socio-economic, educational, sectoral; outlined the possibilities of actualization of productive ideas and historical and pedagogical experience of foreign languages studying as a compulsory component of professional training of future specialists of maritime profile in the present conditions (problem-oriented learning of foreign language with professional immersion; involvement native speakers in teaching process; teaching taking into account the basic level of knowledge; digitization of foreign language studying; providing a cross-cutting and cross-curricular approach in teaching foreign languages introduction of a dual form of foreign language teaching in a professional direction; creation of a repository of professional literature of the maritime industry in a foreign language; preparation of teachers of higher education institutions for textbook creation; teaching special subjects in foreign languages).The essence of the concepts «training of future specialists in the maritime industry», «foreign language professional language», «study of foreign languages in institutions of higher education of maritime profile» is clarified.The practical significance of the research is the fact that its results have been reflected in the developed methodological recommendations «Foreign languages studying in higher education institutions of maritime profile (1978 – 2017) ».
